born Neil quickly impressed during successive loan spells
in 2004eventually signing permanent terms towards the end
of the 2003/2004 campaign. He came to light after netting
43 goals in the 2002/2003 season for UniBond Division One
side Prescot Cables, however the striker has found first-team
opportunities limited at Macclesfield Town after an early
injury. His goal helped earn Southport a place in the 2004/2005
Conference North after a spell of 14 goals in 15 starts
and instantly became a fans' favourite. |
