| 21-year
old Earl is a solid defender and thoroughly impressed at
the back end of the 2002/2003 campaign, despite only playing
8 games while on loan from Burnley. Unfortunately, Earl
needed an operation at the back end of last season, meaning
he missed the Sandgrounder's relegation run-in. Unsuccessful
trials at Swansea and Bury opened the door for a return
to Haig Avenue towards the end of the 2003/2004 season when
he became a regular. |
