Reserve
team captain Daryl Allen will spend next season on loan
at UniBond Division One side Warrington Town.
The
19-year old, St. Helen’s-born midfielder made 5
league starts for the Sandgrounders last season and featured
in 16 matches.
The
PASE team graduate impressed many whilst deputising for
regulars Chris Price and Steve Pickford, but in order
to progress, boss Liam Watson feels the player needs first
team football in a competitive environment.
Watson
told the Southport Visiter: 'Daryl is possibly one for
the future but he needs experience. He has shown me potential
but we have a number of midfield players and it is no
use for his future if he vegetates on the bench. He requires
a step up from reserve team football and under Derek Brownbill
he will have a good mentor.'
