A very warm welcome to the new-look
PORT PIE.
First
of all, we would like to apologise for the disappearance
of the website during the past few weeks. We would have
liked the fresh site to have been live before the season’s
kick-off, but the re-designing and registering new features
took longer than expected.
The
2003-2004 season was our first season online and all concerned
with the site were delighted with impact which it had
upon both Southport and visiting supporters. We have recently
received out 30,000th hit, which is remarkable progress
considering it was virtually unknown 12 months ago.
You
will have obviously noticed the fresh face of the site,
but we have also extended the breadth of facts and stats
we offer. Someone from each Conference North team has
completed a ground guide form, to ensure Port Pie has
one of the most comprehensive travelling sections. We
have also founded a new team guide section, giving a 10-year
league history and all the facts you don’t need
to know!
Many
of the sections have remained the same, but one other
notable difference is the match reporting section.
Following
each match, we are giving YOU the chance to have the definitive
word on the afternoon’s action. Supporters have
the chance to rate the Southport players as well as the
referee, before statistics are added to a season’s
table. Click Here for
More Details.
Another part of our interactive service is the weekly
poll. Each Monday, a question will be set, leaving fans
6 days to express their view. For more, see
here.
We
are also encouraging supporters of any club to get involved
in the site. Whether you are a ‘Port fan and want
to express and opinion, compile a match report or add
a ground review, we will be more than pleased to hear
from you. Supporters from other teams are also welcome.
Again, you can complete a misc report, review of Haig
Avenue or send any Conference North related photographs.
A number of sections such as the statistics, AFC Southport
and weekly poll are still to be finalised, but should
all be online next Monday.
Thanks
to you all once again for your patience throughout the
recent weeks and we hope you enjoy the changes to our
ever-growing website.
If
you would like to contact us or express any suggestions,
don’t hesitate to e-mail.
